Louf is an artist who's on our top 20 because of his distinct, otherworldly musical style. Existing outside of genre confinement, he creates immersive instrumental ambience, and thoroughly relaxing soundscapes, transporting you to a chamomile scented, sacred sanctuary. He also set up his own label with friend Tom VR, Valbry Rotry, focusing on the emotive side of club music. We were excited about Louf's fresh sound ever since he released his first single, EP title track, 'Skara', a piece of music that welcomes warm analogue synths, rippling from left to right, and ambient whispers that echo like fairy's voices. Another single lifted from Skara is 'Troposphere', our favourite track from the EP, where a textural synth pads meet bird sounds and the throb of electronic drums, creating an entrancing web of sound that slowly builds to something more dancey.
